Studio Roma Atelier occupies the usual exhibition space of Istituto Svizzero di Roma: the Sala Elvetica. A new name is applied and the space for representation becomes an atelier, a space of many layers and in use by many. Studio Roma Atelier is there to prepare, to act, to rest and repose, to reflect, to store and accumulate material connected to the research conceived artists and academic researchers of Istituto Svizzero di Roma and everyone connected to the research, joining it only for short periods of time, or following from A to Z. For the time of the program Stalker’s archive is stationed at Studio Roma Atelier and is there to be studied, consulted but also sorted and re-arranged thus used and worked with. The process of archiving happens in plain sight, and provides a backdrop of the activities at Studio Roma Atelier.
