Pedro Wirz (1981, Sao Paulo) studied at the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW) in Basel and the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste of Stuttgart from 2007 to 2011. He lives and works in Sao Paulo and Basel. He is interested in strategies of collaboration connected with social commitment and shared narratives; he has co-launched curatorial projects like Wirz House (2007-2008), The Forever Ending Story (2009-2011) and Postcodes (Sao Paulo, 2014). His works have been shown at Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, Kunsthalle Basel, Kunstverein Dortmund, Palais de Tokyo in Paris and many other places. He has taken part in various art residency programs, including: Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, Post Studio Tales in Berlin, and Residency Unlimited at Pioneer Works in New York.
