Marc Duret
Classical Archaeology
Marc Duret (1986, Geneva) took a masters in Classical Archaeology in 2011. His work concentrates on the Roman period of the city of Eretria, in Euboea, Greece. He has had the possibility of taking part in many digs in Greece, Italy, France, Albania and Switzerland. He is presently working on his doctoral thesis: “Crotone in the Roman era—archaeological approaches,” examining the cultural facies and territorial organization of the city in Calabria and its vicinity. He also has a passion for transmitting the taste for antiquities to a wider audience. In 2015 he organized the major festival Nuit Antique in Geneva.
