Ancient History

Arnaud Besson (1988, Neuchâtel) studied Ancient and Medieval History and French Literature at the Université de Neuchâtel and Freie Universität of Berlin. A doctoral candidate and assistant professor at Neuchâtel, he has written one monograph and many articles, on Ancient History, Medieval and Modern History of Neuchâtel. He has contributed to found and presently manage the Inter-faculty Center of History of Law and Roman Law (CIHDDR) of Université de Neuchâtel. His doctoral thesis, halfway between Social History and Legal History, is entitled: The Constitutio Antoniniana and the evolution of the right to Roman citizenship in the Imperial Era, II-V century AD.
